Head Chef
An exciting opportunity has come up for the position of Head Chef. We’re lucky to have a very strong, young team, so we’re looking for someone to come in to help lead, organise and train, while working alongside owner Michael Bremner to push us on to the next level.
Previous Head Chef experience is preferred, although we will consider ambitious candidates with an AA Rosette or Michelin background in a senior kitchen role.
Expectations and key skills required:
- To oversee the daily operations of the staff and kitchen.
- We expect you to work with and motivate your team to put out dishes that are creative and innovative, while also delivering on flavour and presentation.
- Have a good understanding of seasonal produce and be able to form good supplier relationships to help when planning menus.
- To be a strong team player
- Able to manage staff in a calm and inspirational manner
- Able to use Microsoft office for documentation, analysing financials, and forecasting.
- To consider the business aspects when creating new dishes in order to make the required GP. You will be responsible for overseeing the ordering of ingredients and ensuring stock is at an excellent level.
- To have a strong understanding of financial drivers, and use weekly forecasts to maintain and control expenditure and profit targets.
- Able to work in an open kitchen and to be well mannered with guests and staff.
